Diced Tomb Raider: Anniversary coming to Xbox 360? |
Ó
Eidos Interactive and Crystal Dynamics may have recently released the Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary for previously announced platforms in the U.S., but what they haven't revealed is the off-chance that the same title would be coming to the Xbox 360. If the ESRB is any reliable source for incoming games, then it would be safe to say that the Tomb Raider: Anniversary might actually be coming to the Xbox 360, too.
"In pieces." That's how Siliconera puts it. A search for Tomb Raider: Anniversary for the Xbox 360 lists down five versions of the game, each one appended with a generic description of a level in the final game for the PC, PS2, Wii and PSP. So it's highly likely at this point that the game will be offered in separated packages for Microsoft's next-gen console over Xbox Live.
And if the packages do come in 150 MB each, that's just as good as less than a gigabyte of hard drive space as compared to the 4 GB consumed by the PC version. PS2 version, maybe. Souped up version, maybe not. Oh and if you find it funny that you have to separately download levels to get a whole game, don't worry - it's a first for Lara, too.

The game will be DLC for last year's Tomb Raider: Legend to reuse assets from the disc since it's basically the same engine. Of the 5 locations listed at the ESRB site, one will be a free download - Croft Manor. The other four locations will come in pairs - Peru & Greece, Egypt & The Lost Island.
Croft Manor - Training Level
Peru & Greece - 8 Levels
Egypt & The Lost Island - 6 Levels
The pricing of the levels aren't announced yet and neither is the game, but ESRB is pretty reliable so...
We are getting X men children of the atom (Arcade) and Street Fighter 3 XBLA 4q or 1q of next year.
