Details, screenshots of Last.fm service for Xbox 360 |
Ó
As announced at E3, the Last.fm service will be free to Gold subscribers. According to Kotaku, the Last.fm section of the dashboard will function pretty much the same way as the web-based one.
Using it, Xbox 360 owners can browse artist and tracks, create and share playlists, create their own stations and check out artist pages for photos and band info. What hasn't been revealed yet is if whether Last.fm stations can be used as in-game soundtracks.
A specific release date has yet to be set as well, but in the meantime you can check out these screenshots to see how the new service would look like.

Scrobbling? It'd be nice to do that on the 360, although transferring music to Xbox 360 is a real pain in the ass when you have to rip the CDs all over again.. and I don't really feel like filling my 360 HDD with music.
Oh yeah, maybe I'll just stream it from my PC.
Or skip all that, and just use XBMC on Xbox to scrobble tracks to Last.fm.
why doesn't microsoft just add a web browser? I don't know if last.fm would work on it because I've never heard of it or used it, but the ps3 browser can use facebook and twitter and they don't try to sell it off as some big feature
Because they want you to buy a pc
The only difference is that all this can be done in-game.
Like listening to last.fm while playing halo 3.
Catch my drift? +D
somebody knows how to post screen shots
if you own a ps3... its a computer? just install linux
360 is not really a pc. If it was, why not let us install windows on it. oh wait vista will RROD it. nvm
