Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm announced for Xbox 360 and PC |
Ó
Now this is hardcore fishing. Greenwave Games is sending word of their new title for the Xbox 360 and Windows PC, Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm. The game will be based on the Discovery Channel series of the same name, which documents the daily hazards endured by the fishermen of the Bering Sea in their pursuit of King Crab and Opilio Crab. The game in particular was inspired by Sig, Edgar and Norman Hansen, three of the crew members of the fishing vessel Northwestern. Players will be tasked with being able to arrange their own boat and crews as they join in the race to accumulate the largest haul.
The game will feature five real boats from the TV series such as the Northwestern, Cornelia Marie, and Sea Star, as well as 20 of the series' actual crew. Here's a lowdown of the game's bigger features:
- Career Mode
- Missions: Includes participation in United States Coast Guard search and rescue missions and ice flow navigation)
- Mini-Games
- Five authentic crab boats
- Six Authentic Captains: Including Captains Sig Hansen, Phil Harris and Larry Hendricks
- Four real Bering Sea harbors (Akutan, Dutch Harbor, King Cove and St. Paul)
- Interactive Virtual Tour Northwestern Crab Boat
- Xbox Live multiplayer
