Waaaay back in March, we told you guys about Datel's 360 transfer kit -- that nifty dongle that lets you transfer your files (and your game saves of course) directly to your PC's hard drive. Now most of the feedback we got when we posted that article were mostly "meh..it's cool and all, but what I'm waiting for is HDD transfer kit 'coz I don't use memory cards." Well, Datel must've gotten word about this idea too 'coz now up for grabs at Best Buy is their transfer kit with HDD connectivity (product pictured on the right, courtesy of Xbox-scene forums).
All you have to do is plug your memory unit into the docking port and then connect the port to your PC (which, we will assume has USB ports, 'coz if not then there's something seriously wrong with your PC dude). And voila! All your game saves, themes, and other downloads are transferred right into your PC's hard drive.
Another cool thing about it is that you can also transfer your game saves from your original Xbox to your 360 by transferring the data in your Xbox memory card to your PC or 360. Datel's Xport 360 transfer kit bundle at Best Buy also includes the Max Media Manager software and sells for US $14.99.

The only problem I'm having is that the software isn't recognizing the original xbox memory cards. I downloaded the newest version of the management software off of the codebreaker's website. I'm still wondering why there are no drivers available for reading those xbox mc's.
oh yeah, and if you're thinking about putting your own videos on the HD and playing it back on the xbox, forget about it. It's not happening till someone figures out how to encode the files so that the 360 will recognize them.
