Datel wasn't happy with the way Microsoft decided to shut them out of the Xbox 360 and they're not gonna take it lying down. No, they're not gonna amass an angry mob and trample through the Microsoft gates with torches and pitchforks (although it'd be cool if they did). What they're working on right now is finding a way past the obstacle that keeps their storage devices out of the system.

Another third-party provider, X-Arcade, has already found a solution for their products, although you'll have to squint a bit to read the whole process. Nonetheless, they're on the right track.

Engadget reports that Datel is "aware of the changes that are required to remedy this problem and will shortly release a solution in readiness for this potential update." While a solution is still unavailable, they've informed retailers that they could the would-be unsellable storage devices if they see fit. When they come up with a remedy, Datel will be replacing their stocks with devices that'd work with the Xbox 360 dashboard update.

» Hmm....

Nice to see Datel going allout to get profit. They are probably gonna steal X-Arcades solution like they did with DA's and Co's pandora battery.
