Xbox 360 - Image 1There's one thing that unites gamers more than anything: a fellow gamer in need. We've just caught word of another "sent console for service" shenanigan and it's again a story about Microsoft and an Xbox 360. What do you do when you send your Xbox 360 for service, and get suspected of stealing it?

We've heard all sorts of customer service horror stories before, and for this particular case, customer service seems particularly impossible. The customer sends the 360 in question for service, which gets sent back to her home address while she was at work. Package goes on a roundabout and ends up back at Microsoft. The customer calls Microsoft again and customer service promises that they'll send the package to her work address the next time.

Then the craziness happened. Apparently, the suspicion came from the fact the owner requested two repair orders. The problem is, the said customer had sent her receipt (yes, she's a girl) and credit card statement proving ownership, but to no avail. As of this writing, the Xbox 360 in question has been MIA for four months.

What do you guys think? Should she go and hit Microsoft with the lawsuit bat? Or at least, file in small claims court?

Wow

And that is just another reason why I hate Microsoft. With all the non-genuine "Genuine" Windows copies out there, Microsoft has become completely paranoid. I think she should sew them straight up and then use that money to buy a PS3! lol j/k She should make it public. Then Microsoft would have to give it back. UNITE, FELLOW GAMERS!

Oh ..

If all is true then Microsoft need to make things right. We all know that when they mess up big time, they tend to make it up to the customer by way of free gifts. Let's see Microsoft go one better this time and give the user the top 40 Xbox 360 games, as accusing the user of stealing is liable and I'm sure they want to avoid any misunderstanding. Of course if the information above is incorrect.... You dirty thief! C'mon MS... do the right thing... like you read QJ.net!

i suspected nothing less from Microsoft

When will you learn....*sighs* i knew MS sucks and is horrible with everything they do in the gaming industry. I'm espically surprise that it takes MS 3 months to fix a repair on average.....WOW this is BULL$h!T and I will not stand for it that's why i have a PS3. I'm just so glad i don't get used and abused by Microsoft like some ignorant people. Go on right ahead and just like MS stab u in the back and don't forget to smile and thank you Mr. Gates

BS

I'm afraid I need to call BS on this one. "Package goes on a roundabout and ends up back at Microsoft." My experience with them through my repair is that UPS or whatever shipper they use (country?) requires a signature to deliver the thing. They leave a little tag at the door and try 2 more times before returning it to MS. MS was quite clear to me when I called the original repair in. She went the wrong route, was too lazy to go to UPS and pick the damn thing up or make other arrangements with UPS directly, and is now playing the victim. I'll only help those that help themselves.

MIA Xbox 360

To the young woman that this is happening to. I would put up a lawsuit against them, especially if you have a receipt and a credit card statement showing proof of ownership. The only thing this says to me is that someone at xbox decided to keep ur xbox. You have the right to ur xbox once u purchase it. Go to the place that was suppose to mail it to you and get a copy of the statement that says that they sent it back to microsoft so that you can have proof that it went back to there home base. I hope you didn't give them the original copy of the statement and receipt, ur really gonna need these for ur case. I am 100% behind u, as I am sure other gamers and xbox owners are. YOU GOTTA FIGHT FOR UR RIGHT TO UR XBOX!!!!!
