Crackdown DLC packs now available, RTW working on game reset bug fix

Crackdown - Image 1Major Nelson has announced that the downloadable content packs for Crackdown are now available for download on Xbox Live. That's both the free "Free-For-All" pack and the premium "Getting Busy" bonus pack, the latter of which is available for 800 Microsoft Points. Both downloadable content packs are not available in Japan, Germany and Portugal.

A word of warning to those who download the packs, though. Reports of games getting reset (as in all your hard work so far goes "poof!") because of the DLC packs have been running rampant around the internet. Crackdown developer RealTime Worlds has acknowledged that they are aware of the situation and are currently working on a fix or, barring that, a workaround.

Keep checking back here for more updates on the issue.

Thank god my game didn't get reset. While it wouldn't have been a *huge* deal, it would've certainly set me back when playing a coop game with my friends.

Now lets just hope it doesn't get reset the next time I turn it on.

For now, though, be very careful of co-op. In fact, it's probably better if you don't play co-op yet.

They could have at least made the pay package 400 points......so, what good does me looking at in-game advertising do, other then giving MS + RTW free money ?

None of my friends know about this, I',m gonna laugh so hard if their game gets reset

Also does anyone find it irritating that they added a "reset gangs" function but took the "no crimes" option out? Now that I reset them I can't do anything without some ***** shooting me.

And to Shatterdome, it seems like they really put a lot of hard work into this pack, and it's definitely worth the 800 points. I'm having a blast with the new vehicles even in single player, and the har***** gun and cloaking device are amazing. Don't rag on them just because you're cheap

# Mines didnt reset, but...Guest 2007-05-11 14:19
I went through some trouble creating another account just to play a new game and keep my old one. So maybe if I got the reset I wouldn't even mind.

Because then there would be people going "Money grubbing wh0res... They could have at least made the pay package 200 points"

Basically, it's not a lot of money for a lot of extra content.

Are those $5 or so really that hard to get for you? How much does a pint of beer cost there? How long does that last you?

He usually gets the $5 dollars from sucking my ***** everyday, and he's pretty good too.
