Coming up next in Spring Update: more "integration and innovation"

Who's got (online) game? - Image 1Sorry if it's just a hint, but that's coming out of Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb's mouth in his latest podcast, reports CVG. No concrete details about the Spring Update were released with the podcast - all the Major will say is "more functionality and integration" and "stay tuned."

On the other hand, this podcast's subject was about, among other things, PlayStation Home - the Major's assuring that Microsoft will continue to work to stay on top of the online console online game. But CVG's wondering in which direction such "innovation" in Xbox Live will proceed, whether it will parallel the Second Life-eque Home or introduce a different concept entirely.

Or if it will continue to be the slow and steady, incremental improvements to what Xbox Live has always been all about: "the guide is always integrated, I can always view my messages, see who's online, cross-game invites across all games, leaderboards, achievement - all that kind of stuff," as the Major puts it.

Like he said: stay tuned.

couldn't care less...about you

If xbox live ever lagged, it was because of your connection. i've played at over 5 different 360's in the past month and none have lagged (different connections at different houses)

.

enjoy it with your 1.6 mill friends while we enjoy online, supported by Microsoft itself not 3rd party crap, and we'll enjoy 10.7 mill, plus see a huge increase when H3 is released.

Both are great

Whether it's Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network, they will both improve and lets face it. They will both eventually have all of the same key features so in the end what's the point of badmouthing the other "side"?

And what do you think will happen with HOME?

Since it's basically a 3D Myspace, instead of screaming little children on XBL you'll have emos and posers who think on HOME. I'm gonna go with XBL here as the lesser of two evils

Oops

Don't know how "who think" got in there, just ignore that
