And now we've got another chance to take a closer look at From Software's new ninja title, Ninja Blade. They said it was gonna be a cinematic action title. Judging from these screenshots, they sure fit the bill.

In case you still don't know what the story is about, it's set in modern day Tokyo, where parasites known as alpha-worms mysteriously appeared. These worms are no minute pests as they unleashed a wave of human destruction.

From what we've researched thus far as well, our ninja hero belongs to this exclusive and elite team that's been called upon to get rid of these parasites in order to save the rest of mankind.

Hmm.. I was expecting nefariously crazy mad scientists and their weapons of mass destructions. But I guess worms will have to do for now.

Ninja Blade is set to come out on the Xbox 360 on January 29 for Japan, and is still on a TBA sched for North America.

Too bad for you the game is actually fun. If you like Ninja Gaiden there is honestly no reason to not like this.

Except you don't know that, Tecmo isn't making this FYI. It could turn out great, and if it does, I'll probly get it, but seriously, for a ninja, he looks really lame

I wanna try

... the demo. The trailers got me reasonably excited for this. I'm wondering if this and Bayonetta will be my guilty indulgences versus the critics this year.

So...

why do you buy a PS3 when there are no ninja games?! Btw. Afro Samurai will hit the stores tommorow - for XBox and PS3 :)

..

The demo is really nice - full of action :) The Bayonetta trailers are great, too, but it will be released in 6 months? In the meantime we can play X-Blades, hope this will be good, too :)

Umm I do. Dont tell me i dont know. Ive played it... And if you want to even give it a "try" its called a Japanese Xboxlive account... Kthnx. Its simply similar to Ninja gaiden. And since i loved Ninja Gaiden I like it. Even has better uses of Ninjitsu in my eyes, as I can actually combo it in with my melee attacks, and get to use it a lot, and not be penalized for it.

My only complaint so far is how the cinematic part is handled. In most cases if you miss, you just have to repeat. The scenario should change depending on whether you miss the press. Like if a monster is charging, and i has to press teh button to dodge, I should Take dmg and have to try another button scenario.

Except a demo +! the full game, lots of games had promising demos and then ended up blowing. We'll see when the reviews come out, douche
