Channel surfing: more issues with wireless 360 headset |
Ó
Microsoft still doesn't seem to be acting on this or addressing the issue as of yet. In an attempt to be heard by the big MS, micro23 decided to create a video revealing yet another problem with the wireless headset.
His concern: it won't sync to the same channel as his original wireless controller. "Original" here, meaning those which got bundled with the 360 launch consoles. In the vid, he clearly demonstrates how it just won't work with the older controller and compares how it still syncs with a newer one.
In fact, a curious thing happens in one segment of the clip. Around two minutes into the vid, he turns off his original controller and only then would the headset register the first channel. It's as if the controller was jamming signals to prevent the headset from getting into the channel. Hmmm...
We're hoping that Microsoft starts addressing these issues. It's definitely bad rep for them in the long run.

go figure.. problems with a microsoft product =\
i've been using one for a while now and have not had an issue...maybe people should stop playing and using the microwave at the same time, lol....
I had mine halway up my ass and farted and it worked great. One problem is that if it gets wet it can malfunction. I accidentally peed on mine during doaxbv2 i let it sit for a while and it was ok... anyone know how to get the tuna smell off of it after it was in my ass??
I'm going off the top of my head here, but doesn't the documentation say that you are supposed to sync the wireless headset before you even turn any of the controllers on? I think having the controller already on the first channel messes something up.
I think you're supposed to turn on the 360 with the main power button, sync the wireless headset, then turn on controller 1. That would explain why he wasn't able to sync it until turning off the controller.
I have that TV.
when microsoft chooses to use a proprietary protocol for accessories that already have a standard.
haha
Ill have to wait until the bug is fixed before i buy one...
Oh well...I got a new HDTV and some games, so im happy
I also have this product and haven't had any issues with any of my controllers while using it. It lasts long on the charge and is worth every penny. I think the guy should try powering on his controller first, then the headset and it would probably work fine...
obviously you didnt pay too close attention because thats exactly what he did buddy
