Ó

kinect-bundleHow far has Kinect gone since its launch back in November 2010? Microsoft makes a report at the CES 2010, and the number is impressive.

Considering that Kinect's been out a mere 60 days, for it to sell 8 million units worldwide is definitely impressive. Steve Ballmer of Microsoft made the announcement at their CES 2011 Press Conference. He characterized 2010 as an "exciting" year for Kinect, and its launch is just a part of the company's strategy, making "big bets" on it.

Microsoft has also previously promised that 2011 will be all about the Kinect.

I'm still waiting for a reliable source...
'Cose I'm not seeing it sell all that in the US, let alone in the rest of the world... But maybe I'm terribly wrong.

(Well where I live you don't even see kinnect selling, maybe on some big stores, and Move's sold out almost everywhere, everyone I know who was a PS3 has at least one, but we're a big Sony/Nintendo european country...)

8 million is what they have sold to the stores and not what they have actually sold through the stores. There aren't 8 million in consumers homes currently. Our local Best Buy has a tower of Kinects they can't sell.
