Have you wondered what Immersion Studios' upcoming first person shooter CellFactor looks like? Well here're some screenshots for your viewing pleasure.  CellFactor is an FPS with an epic storyline set in a warfare industrial atmosphere where your character has lots of psychic powers. The game isn't supposed to be released until the fourth quarter of 2007 so we'll have a while until we see it on store shelves. Until then go ahead and click on the thumbnails to get a better look at CellFactor to help with the wait.

PC Tech Demo

I've been playing the tech demo a lot recently. It's pretty entertaining. Not as fun as say Halo 2 or Halflife 2, but it's fun. My PC is pretty powerful but with a lack of a PhysX card it lags quite a lot. I'm sure the 360 version will feel way better.

PPU for you

the demo actually says it requires the physics card.. since the game is really just a big tech demo for the PPU. So playing the game without the card is kinda against the point.

I wasn't a FPS until Halo and now i love them, but i think there are too many coming out. I feel like pretty soon imma start having siezures

PPU

I have the pc demo and I dont have a PPU. There is absolutley no difference with the PPU. Some people have been benching them, there is acually a DROP in fps in GRAW with the PPU. Agea PhysX is just a bunch of bull*****.

welll

that may be because with the PPU there is more objects and more calculations taking place? i dunno i've never tried either, but the drop of fps in GRAW i have heard about, and no visible physics either.

consitering everything i have read about it being used with/without the cards, its actually provided a gain in FPS allaround. but then you also have to consiter that the card isint intended to increase your FPS, its intended to allow more things to happen without a drop in FPS. for instance, without the PhysX card in the Cellfactor demo, the effects are reduced, (yes i have it on my Comp without the PhysX card) as of now, the card provided little help, but in the coming months i can see new drivers allowing it to do much more than what we see now.

id pay the price of a game for that demo on the 360 if it used xbox live.

Physx

I have the pc demo and I dont have a PPU. There is absolutley no difference with the PPU. Some people have been benching them, there is acually a DROP in fps in GRAW with the PPU. Agea PhysX is just a bunch of bull*****. This guys an idiot. GRAW doesnt rely on the PPU like Cellfactor does. Cellfactor is also a more physics intense game. Everything in the game has its own physics unlike GRAW. GRAW is a shame in terms of its ability to make use ot physics. Take a real game that has everything with its own physics. That means the processor has to calculate the physics for everything that the player can see and cant see. This is very stressful on the processor. Now if all that stress can be relieved onto a separate piece of hardware, then thats great news. Games like half-Life 2 could have benifited from this. I have yet to see a computer, no matter how powerful, not slow down when I run a Physics stress test. Place hundreds of objects on the screen and throw a bomb in the middle of all of it. Every single computer even Dual core SLI setups have slowed down because calculating the physics for all those objects and being able to supply data to the graphics card is impossible to do at the same time. Its doubtful that this game will be comming out on the Xbox360 unless Aegia finds a way to make a PPU addon device. Not even all the cores working at the same time can do the same physics calculations that a dedicated physics processor can do. The hardware is tied to the specific physics engine. So its most efficient in working with its engine.

Would it be on the Ps3???

I mean the ps3 comes with the Aegia physx chip so that would emply it coming out for the Ps3 as well right?? (I have a 360 and im planning to get a ps3, so don't say i a sony fanboy, just wondering)
