Catan, on XBLA! - Image 1

Three new titles are scheduled to make their way to the Xbox Live Arcade this week. First off is Catan, the XBLA version of the classic multiplayer board game Settlers of Catan. In Catan, players are put in the role of settlers on a newly discovered island where they vie for control of valuable territory and resources through strategy and trading. Kind of like when you're living with a roommate. Catan will be available worldwide beginning Wednesday, May 2 at 0900 GMT for 800 Microsoft Points.

Next up are Centipede and Millipede. Players can choose between two version of Centipede: classic and evolved. The former challenges gamers to defend their villages against an onslaught of centipedes, spiders, army ants and more. The evolved version, on the other hand, features pre-rendered, high definition graphics, special effects like motion blur, trails and particle-based explosions.

Meanwhile, Millipede will also have an evolved version along with the classic version. In the game, the primary objective is to obliterate chains of arthropods that creep down from the top of the screen by shooting scattered mushrooms at them. Both of these Atari arcade classics are packaged together and can be downloaded for a measly 400 Microsoft Points when they hit the XBLA on Wednesday, May 2 at 0900 GMT.
