SOTNCastlevania: Symphony of the Night, the 13th installment of the Castlevania series and is a direct sequel to Demon Castle Dracula X: Rondo of Blood for the NEC PC Engine, is making its way to the Xbox 360. To go down to the specifics, it will be available on Xbox Live Arcade. This development has burst the planned PS1 titles that would soon be heading to the PSP via emulation, maybe Konami didn't hear that and jumped the gun too soon.

The game, which was a massive hit during its PSOne days, would also be joined in XBLA by other Konami titles such as Frogger, Contra, Super Contra, Track & Field, Time Pilot, and Scramble. This development was said to be reported in the September issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly.

Apparently, the PSOne version of the game will appear in XBLA, not the Sega Saturn Version.  Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (SOTN) would allegedly have a tentative Q1 2007 release on XBLA.

Live in the future not in the past. Why would you pay money for old games like this is beyond me but thats just my opinion.

» someone isnt a fan??

That's "UnPossible"!! Any gamer who hasn't played SotN will have the chance to play a fantastic 2D game. Those who have played it and don't have the game anymore or dont want to clear the dust off of their PS1 or 2 will play it in HD glory and for a lot cheaper than what you can find it used in stores. My points will be ready.

thats awsome but would be cooler if it was the Saturn Version so we could get the extra areas and play as Maria and get the extra songs but its still awsome

If you are saying that games in the past aren't as good as games now, you've already lost 100% of your credibility as a gamer with decent opinions.

This game is amazingly fun, and its rare/expensive to buy for psx so this is great...not to mention it stores on your HD so its more accessible, you don't have to whip out the old psx games and psx mem card. Convienence is great..

So yeah..you are kinda retarded.

» HD= High Definition as in HDTV not Hard Drive

lol #12 I think we all ment HDTV not just HD, but it dosent matter I can only agree with you. This game is so awsome/fun that Obvilous who ever talks ***** about this game has never played it. And if you havent played a Castlevania game before this is a great one to start with.
