Capcom BBS Admin Responds to Shrinking-Text Problem in Dead Rising |
The fact that the dead are rising isn't the problem in Capcom's new game for the XBox 360. Instead, it's that the text is shrinking.
Dead Rising players have brought some attention to this tiny text phenomenon, which hampers the reading of quest objectives and annoys others who simply want to enjoy the full impact of everything the game has to offer, on Capcom's bulletin boards.
Luckily, a Capcom BBS administrator addressed the gamers' complaints and told them that everyone that could be informed to fix the matter was told. As WickedKitty, the BBS admin writes:
Dear Everyone, I have heard your concerns and passed them to every source within Capcom possible. I feel your pain as I, myself, have a large SDTV and am having trouble reading the mission objectives, item names, etc.
I'd like you all to know we have heard your concerns and take them seriously. I have been seeing campaigns on other forums to send hundreds of emails to our support email. Unfortunately this doesn't expedite or increase the importance of the concern in any way, but it does take time and resources from other fans' equally deserving concerns. All concerns are always important to us and we do what we can.
We also would like you to know that we appreciate your feedback as the game was just released and it's feedback from our fans and gamers that make our games great. We appreciate your continued support of Capcom products!
Hopefully, this will mean a patch fix will be up for free downloads soon, unless Capcom wants irate gamers to be rising up against them, in addition to the dead. We'll let you know about the release of a patch fix as soon as we get word of it. Till then, sit tight, and keep those guns at the ready.

Stop complaining and buy a HHTV:P
If you have a 360, fork out the money for a HDTV.
Seems like their are plenty of developers who don't test their game on standard definition televisions. Ubisoft said King Kong was too dark on SDTVs, Chromehounds has tiny text, plus a bunch of other games.
Chaos give us the money to buy them!!!
No matter what Microsoft does their stuff is always incomplete.
The two last examples:
1.- A broken online version of Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting.
2.- Now this.
Not to mention Windows Vista.
the ps3 will be just as worse...with the blu-ray "next-gen"....Mircrosoft and sony are beinging to piss me off the Nth degree...
Hopefully Resident Evil 5 for the ps3 and xbox360 doesn't have this problem...or the next Dead Rising...
Chaos has a point, if you buy a 360, you should have a High Def TV atleast...

MS is not responsible to test other devs games. SF, Chromehounds, Dead Riseing and all/most other games with problems are not from MS. This is the 360 section and we shouldnt have to put up with your ignorant bull *****. Also as much as I hate windows, kudos to MS for not releasing Vista untill its ready/done.

Microsoft has nothing to do with Street fighter 2 development or dead rising.

I have a 57" HDTV and dead rising looks so pretty it's a shame the game itself is almost unplayable. This game just seems rushed to me. It's kinda boring.

Also if a game isnt fun to YOU that doesnt mean it was rushed. It could eigher be just a bad game or just not your cup of tea. Its one thing to state your opinion in a factual way but dont mix up the facts and opinion because it makes you look like an ass, this goes for the guy above me and the retard above him.

How is it "unplayable" on your 57" HDTV? Are you referring to the text? I can read the text fine on my 32" HDTV...
Or are you speaking about the difficulty? Yes, the game is rather challenging, one of the hardest games I've played recently. It almost seems impossible to complete all Scoops and Cases in one play-through. Just make sure to save like, every 10 minutes. That way nothing can really go wrong.
How about a patch fix for the *****ty AI of the NPC's
