Call of Duty 2 Tops Xbox Live chart once more |
Ó
There's a little concern lately about Xbox titles going haywire via Major Nelson's list. Call of Duty 2 topped the game chart as the most played Xbox 360 title last week. Doom brought the award home as the most popular Live Arcade title (and 6th in the overall game chart). Most folks would think this is kind of sad knowing the Xbox 360's capabilities, graphics, and controls alike have probably been maxed out already, but some players believe it still offered the next-gen wham at a lesser price compared to the PS3. But that's something we've yet to see, as Sony hasn't released its own weapon against Microsoft.
The rest of the Xbox 360's most played titles include Saints Row, Madden NFL 07, Ghost Recon 3, Test Drive Unlimited, Doom, Dead Rising, Oblivion, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, and Sonic the Hedgehog demo. The best-selling arcade titles next to Doom are Texas Hold 'em, Uno, Hexic HD, TotemBall, Geometry Wars Evolved, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, PacMan, Marble Blast Ultra, and Bankshot Billiards 2.

Im sorry, but please do not even talk about console hardware if you have no idea what kind of process goes into game development, Marie. The 360 is now reaching its second generation of games and still has alot more juice left, waiting for developers to unlock. Please do not make \"assumptions\" As it discredits your ability to write for a game blog. Research research research! Dont make up things just to juice up your story. Thanks for humiliating yourself, XNA Platform engineer, Kevin Revnir
I agree with the above poster. While I am not in the industry, I do have a degree in game design and programming and I can tell you that the 360 hasn't been maxed out yet. Look at the PS2, it has just recently started reaching it's limits within the past year. No console is ever pushed to it's max within a year, trust me. No 360 game is even using all 3 of the hardware's cores yet. Please do more research before writing about something in the future.
I'm confused... what has Call of Duty 2 being at the top of the list got to do with unlocking the 360s capabilities? anyway since you've mentioned it, I'd thought I take a trip down memory lane where I heard this same statement every year after the PS2 was released, yet the games kept getting better... just look ay GTA:VCS on the PSP to see how careful programing can easily imrove how your hardware functions compared to the previous year
how do you go from an article about call of duty 2 being the most played xbox 360 game on xbl to your dribble about the ps3 fire Marie m. she has no journalistic skill and is biased i award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul
its sad that a launch title is on top of the live charts! the fact that there is no other live game that keeps peoples attention...i dont kno if the lamebox 1.5 has topped out but i do kno that the games suck and the once great service lambox live is now seeming lamer by the day
