Call of Duty 2 for the Xbox 360, the game which was recently-named the most played game on Xbox Live has yet another trophy to add to it's glass cabinet today after publisher Activision announced that the Xbox 360 version has sold over 1 Million copies in the U.S territory alone. The award-winning title is the #1 best selling game on Xbox 360 and continues to be among the highest rated games for the platform as shown by the magical 1 Million sales mark.
"We are proud that Call of Duty 2 is the first title to sell over one million units on the Xbox 360 in the U.S." said Robin Kaminsky, executive vice president, Activision Publishing. "Activision has made a strong commitment to develop leading franchises for the next-generation consoles and we look forward to continuing that successful strategy with our titles launching on Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 and the Wii this fall."
The release of these figures certainly concretes COD2 as being one of the most successful Xbox 360 titles to date, and sales continue to rise. Other successes of COD2 include netting $1 Million in revenue from Xbox Live and being Xbox Live's game of the week numerous times.

Yes this game is a classic.. It would be better if the next one would become xbox360 exclusive.. Forget about sony, they suck. And all you sony fans out there can screw yourselves and your moms. I have always loved nintendo. So im gettin a wii. I love my gamecube while my ps2 collects dust..

The reason why people say fanboys are a horrible thing is clearly pointed out on your posts. Particularly in comment 3. That whole "wanking" off thing, and the vagina on the console of choice, I think the dcik in mouth was the topper.
Now don't get me wrong fanboys are a needed thing in the gaming world but there still must be rules to uphold. Lets keep the low blows out of here and focus on the accual systems and games and such not how much you hope someone jacks off because that makes you the perv not the other for your the one who wants it and is accordingly thinking about it. I mean you even brought in the 'mom' that's cold chit leroy.
So hurray 360 I am enjoying the system very well I have 15 games for it now and still wanting more. Hurray Wii I soooo am getting it along with many many games. (Gamecube I had well over 50 games) and well I have ps1, ps2, and psp. Not too many games they kind of release 1000 games per month with only maybe 1-2 games that were worthwhile but still played them. And I like to have all systems just so I don't have to say man I wish I could play that game so I'll be getting the ps3 too.
All in all Call of Duty 2 is a great game. I do think that CoD 3 will be great it's just that two has only been out for a year why do we need another one so soon? That's my only beef, never-the-less, it'll be a nice addition to my collection
