A second free Xbox Live Marketplace trial of the Xbox 360 racer, Test Drive Unlimited, was announced today by Atari. Players can now try the demo that includes three new cars - the Ferrari F430, the Ford Mustang GT, and the AC Cobra - as well as a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle. Also, new avenues to race are added and the game features four new offline challenges plus two new online challenges that can support up to eight racers.

In addition to such treats, the basic gameplay - the online performance and car handling - is improved. The MOOR (Massively Open Online Racing) game also now boasts of sharper graphics that will surely make racing a total experience.

Atari also announced that the gold master of the game has been sent off for replication, thus ending the long wait for the release of this much anticipated racing game. The game is scheduled to ship to stores on the 5th of September.

Jaggies!??

I play on a Samsung HDTV, but in this demo I noticed a lot of jaggies, especially on the cars! Do you guys also notice that!? Or is it my Sammy TV that is f*cked!? I don't have this problem in other games, besides PRG3!?

Much better than the first demo

The jerkiness has gone, the cars handle better. I'm considering a purchase now

meh

still looking decidedly last gen i think, pop up scenery, jaggies, lag, this just doesn't cut the mustard imho. all these problems just serve to pull you out of a game that is supposed to be immersive and fun, add to that the hoards if idiots spouting off over the communicators and it's a recipe for a piss poor game.. onc again only my opinion but i believe it wholly..

So you notice it as well?

So you notice a lot of jaggies as well, smashie!??

@kim

yeah straight away, doesn't look to me like their engine is up to the job of keeping everything in check, massively multiplayer is all well and good but it has to be immersive imho and from what i've seen so far i won't be buying this, like i say just an opinion although youd' think there would be a few gpu cycle spare for a bit of jaggie smoothing.. oh yeah and increasing the draw diastance would be good too

teee

So what exactly is "next gen" about this game. I think I saw these graphics on original gameboy.

Crash!

This game crashes more often then Jacques Villeneuve...In the first 20 minutes of playing it crashed my 360 twice. I like the concept but if this is the quality/stability of the finished game (and it looks like it, because between the E3 demo and this one stability certainly hasn't improved) then I think I may be passing on this one.
