Bungie: We're investigating Halo 3 Game Save Bug |
Ó
For those of us already blessed with a copy of Bungie Studios' Halo 3 and are looking into finishing the fight over at a friend's house, bad luck: there's a bug in the game's save system that prevents anyone from transferring campaign progress to another Xbox 360, whether you're using a memory unit or even your hard drive.
Sure, you'll be able to access any mission or insertion point you've recently completed, but continuing from your last save spot? Nope, the game will only flash a message that says "Unsafe to Respawn", before taking you back into the main menu. Ouch.
So, what's the deal here? We're not entirely sure, but what we do know is that Bungie is already looking into what's causing the problem, as well as a way to resolve it. The developer also announced that the reason Bungie PRO subscriptions are currently offline is because of a small issue that they're also busy hacking away at.
Well, at least it's nothing really serious. But all the same, it's good that the guys behind Halo 3 are constantly vigilant and are ready to respond at the first sign of bugs. Here's to a quick workaround to the glitch!

"At least bungie are actually trying to fix their bugs"
And what were you trying to prove with this statement. Are you suggesting no one ever tries to fix problems.
This statement is full of BS.
EA never releases patches for their games (especially sports ones) and many other companies do not either. Those that do are rare to respond in such a short time.
Not to mention they are dealing with the fallout from the huge number of gamers playing at once.
I thought it was impressive hours after midnight 40,000+ gamers were playing multiplayer.....I was wrong, when I played the next day after school, there were 650,000+ people playing just in multiplayer matches not to mention the ridiculous number of people sending messages, uploading screens and video clips, etc......needless to say XBL had some hiccups, but only for a few hours.....
I'm actually impressed things are going as smoothly as they are....something like this is understandable, and could easly slip by QA as people are constantly doing tests using the same xbox over and over....never would they be in a situation where they would try to load their game on a diff xbox using a mem card or HDD (although I am sure it's on the checklist now)
But it is a pointless comment, i'll give you that much....Halo 3 has already won everyone over...
Its just good natured fun! at the end of halo there are credits etc and a thank you for purchasing and a tongue in cheek reference to helping bungie to win and achieve world domination.
I liked the comment you'll win us all eventually. Its in context if you get the meaning
