Bungie's Halo 3 Xbox 360 - Image 1The Halo 3 heroic map pack from the Xbox Live Marketplace  provided gamers with three new levels to frag on. If you still want more, then you'll be happy to know that Bungie is already working on the next batch of maps to be released as downloadable content.

In the recent Bungie Weekly Update post, content manager Frank O'Connor (Frankie) discussed the next batch of maps that will be released. While he did not give any specifics on what the new maps are, he did hint at several possibilities that they might explore.

Here's a complete list of what the next downloadable pack may contain:
  • Symmetrical arena maps for competitive play.
  • Returning classics demanded by the fans.
  • Crazy new stuff you never expected.
  • Unusual maps with lots of potential for interesting game types.
  • Graphically spectacular settings.
  • More Forge objects to use on new maps.
  • Surprises
Competitive players would probably be looking forward to getting some symmetrical arena maps in Halo 3. More casual gamers on the other hand, might be more interested in the unusual maps that Bungie is cooking up. We're pretty sure that level designers will appreciate the new objects that they can use in the Forge.

There were other topics discussed in the weekly update that Halo 3 gamers might be interested in. Feel free to click on the via link below to see the entire weekly update on the Bungie website.
