Bungie Upgrades Halo 3's Control Scheme

halo3Halo 3's still a work in progress for Bungie. The developer is definitely not sleeping when it announced a new control scheme for Halo 3. We were speculating on why Bungie is being tight-lipped for quite a while -- now we know that such intriguing silence is justified.

The new Halo 3 control scheme is the new solution to the button mapping problem that most Xbox 360 owners complain about. The left and right bumpers found logical use, but Bungie tells us the new scheme will still be accompanied by the classic Halo controls. It's also possible that the developer took into account improved control variants, including the backward southpaw controls. What Bungie assures us is that the new control scheme is "super solid".

Meanwhile, more information about Halo 3's AI and the sequel's Warthog can be found on the developer's updated website. Bungie tells us that Halo 3 will feature more bad guys than ever before, so we're keeping our ears perked up for more news.

Halo 3 news these days is "We are testing multiplayer," "we've changed the control scheme," and don't forget "check out the orchestra we used for the trailer." So really, who cares about this crap anyway.
