Bungie promises Halo 3 will be even better |

"We screwed up." That's Bungie's take on their successful second installment to the Halo series for the PC and XBox 360. Although suffering from a rather short and almost anti-climactic finish for the single player campaign, Halo 2 more than made up for its shortcomings in its multiplayer action. And don't we Xbox 360 fans know it? PC fans will soon be able to join in once Halo 2 gets released for their machines later this year.
According to Bungie engineer Chris Butcher, they had about five weeks to polish Halo at the end. "We had none of that for Halo 2," he said, "We miscalculated, we screwed up...it kills me to think of it." He wasn't even kind to the multiplayer aspect of Halo 2. It was a "pale shadow" of what it should have been. Well, then we think expectations just jumped two miles higher for Halo 3, don't you think?
As Butcher put it: "I know Halo 3 is going to be so much better." That said, we'll just keep watching the trailer and looking at some pictures and keep hoping it comes out pretty soon.

I hope this game is as long as Halo 2 w/ CGI cut scenes. I have trusts in the Xbox 360. If this game is short as Gears O W I will f!ck bungie in the ass, Ill sell my 360!

I knew I was reasonable to only like halo 1 only. fan said that im stupid to only like halo and not 2. bleh, im smarter that most of them if not them all. don't deny it haterz... HALO 2 no matter what you say revolutionized online console gaming, and its the one game that started it all. the developers listened to the gamersz an they delivered using updates. HALO2 was the only console game where devs actually listened and showed results, if you have not played HALO2 online STFU because you dont know SQUAT!
I loved Halo 2. LOVED it. That said, it could have been so much better if a few things were tweaked. I'm so glad to hear this coming from Bungie, because it lets me know that they feel exactly the same as I do on the matter, and they're planning to make Halo 3 fix all those problems. Thank the lord, and I'm even more excited to play Halo 3 this spring now.

I also like Halo one ALOT, but thought halo 2 was kinda dumb....hearing them admit they screwed up, and are probably going back to a halo 1 style of thinking is very good news...

kind of, halo was so great, but to me it was mainly becasuse it had extremely good graphics compared to the other games, and was the funnest fps at the time. i think the reason why most ppl don't like halo 2 is because it wasn't too new, it had and extremely short story, and they probably never played it online.
