Bungie: Halo 3 has gone gold

The wait is almost over, folks. Bungie Studios has announced that Halo 3 has finally gone gold and has been released to manufacturing. It seems everything's coming together for next month's release.

"This is a huge milestone for us and a big cause for celebration at Bungie and Microsoft Game Studios," said Harold Ryan, Studio Head at Bungie Studios. "This is the game we've always wanted to make and certainly the best game our studio has developed. We can't wait for gamers to get their hands on it on Sept. 25."

It's been three years in the making, but in less than four weeks, gamers will finally be able to experience this third installment in the hugely popular FPS franchise. Again, the game hits September 25. If you plan on getting a retail copy, make sure your schedule's clear.

So yeah been looking forward to 3 for months. Pre-ordered it but now im noy really sure if I wanna rush out and buy it. Gears is A* online and I'm not gunna be putting bioshock down for a good few weeks yet.

i do not know if it(bioshock) stole its thunder but it sure was the lightning befor the storm ..having the 2 games so close together wow ..and all the other ones comming out that are cross platform that look like they will rock ...i do not know if i have the time for all of them ...but bishock sure is a great start and has set the benchmark real hi .

no one will even remember the name "bioshock" come sept 25th. the game is a single player game, once you beat it once or twice are u really going to play it anymore? should be able to beat it twice by sept 25th and shelf it for good.

Yeah, thats pretty much the way it is with most single player games. I'll play them through once or twice if they're good. Then I'll occassionally go back and play for a while if I'm bored. Bioshock is an amazing single player game but I can't say it'll be the main disk in my tray for the next few years to come.

i think your absoulty correct single player games like bio shock are amazing when you first play them but once the same stuff keeps happeneing each time you play you start to think to yourself....wow this sucks. But with games like Halo 3 that have the best multiplayer system ever made (in my opioion) you will play games like these for hundreds of hours and not become bored.

I don't crazy and buy tons of games, I don't have that much money to spend... Just bought Metroid Prime 3 and was saving again for Halo3... Should I get bioshock? it looks interesting but it might just be really pretty with cool enemies and have lame gameplay and story... Like Prey...

I hope MS have got plenty of 360 Elites made because this game and Mass Effect are going to sell huge amount of consoles(especi ally at Christmas), not that MS need to sell many much more hardware they are selling well over 1.2 million games a week in the USA alone and that is where the money is, good to see that MS has sorted out its early console problems just like Sony have now done with the PS2 dvd drive. Though I think MS giving a 3 year guarantee is amazing confidence and assurance for all 360 owners..
