The Wii has Miis, so Microsoft got Avatars. Now the PlayStation 3 has LittleBigPlanet so Microsoft got... Boku? They're not calling it a game though, just so it's not that obvious; it's a "visual programming language."

Far from being a sackboy, Boku is a little robot head with cartoony eyes, which kinda reminds me of EVE in Wall-E. Boku can then be programmed with a graphical language to do any number of things. However cute Boku is though, the selling point is the graphical programming language, which allows you to create your own games.

LittleBokuPlanet
Boku is designed to be a lightweight programming language for kids. Here are some videos of the game, err, "visual programming language":

Hmmm

I don't think this as an answer of microsoft to LBP. I think it creates a whole new genre of gaming, just like what LBP did.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LittleBigPlanet LBP first announce march 7th 2007. http://research.microsoft.com/displayArticle.aspx?id=1661&0sr=a&0sr=a Boku first shown march 6th 2007.

I don't really care if one did copy off the other

I just want more games like this. When I played the LittleBigCalculator online level in LBP it was the first time I was creatively inspired by a video game since the music mode in Mario Paint.

Modding

Why don't you get into modding? The Source engine is a good starting point and gives you tools that far surpasses anything you will see in a video game.

Not the same as lbp

Its like saying, the xbox 360 is microsofts answer to sony's playstation 3, because its only the concept that is the same. Looks to me like there is alot more customization than lbp if were comparing. plus its 3d and there isnt the objective of getting to the end of the map or whatever in every game.

you are true

it's not the same, Little Big Planet is a game with a powerful editor, this is a programming language for kids, it doesn't sound the same...

lol ahaha

PATHEDIC... just strait Pathedic,dumb@zz copycats copy EVERYTHING.. and i dont give 2 sh**s weather they announced earlier or wutnot. this game looks like a Pile of Horse sh!*,dont care how innovative it is,its Garbage. 1st they copy the Dualshock, then the mii's and then now LBP?? no wonder they suck @zz as a console developer, they cant come up with their own idea's can they?? NO!! all they keep doing is either throwing benjamins at developers for Exclusive rights or just coming up with another lame 60th FPS.

Today I have seen a whole new level of destroying the English language.

Lmao

Copy dualshock?? copy mii's??? LBP?? take a look at what you have said, dualshock is vibration, lots of stuff has it. The new Xbox experiance is totally different to mii's and as ive said before this is far different from LBP, only the concept. Now stop coming onto the internet to waste time.
