It appears BlazBlue: Continuum Shift won't be meeting its summer release window after all. The game is now tracking a fall release.

To make up for the delay Aksys has announced a limited-run Tournament Edition fight stick of which only 1,500 individually numbered copies are being made by Mad Catz

The Tournament Edition stick uses the exact Sanwa joystick and 30mm buttons found in arcade machines, along with realistic spacing and an eight-button layout. For US$ 199.99, you can now pre-order them here. The sticks will ship in June.

Here's a full list of features:

  • Authentic Japanese-style Sanwa Denshi joystick & buttons
  • 8-button layout with additional multi-speed Turbo functionality
  • Premium-quality components with genuine arcade layout
  • Controller lock/unlock switch prevents accidental button presses
  • 13 FT USB Cable with internal cable storage
  • Connect to console via lag free USB
  • Storage compartment for efficient cable management
  • 3-way switch enables joystick to function as left or right analog stick or D-Pad
  • Integrated headset port for use with Xbox LIVE
  • Officially licensed and designed by Arc System Works and Aksys Games

I've never been one to buy this kind of accessories simply because I tend to suck at fighting games. Still love playing them though. :D

For that price, one'd better be off with a custom stick with a 360 PCB and an MC Chtulhu in it and some sanwa/ seimitsu parts in it.

PS3, PS2, PSX, Xbox 360, Xbox, Cube, SNES, NES, 3DO, Saturn and TurboGrafx16/PC-Engine compatibility> dumb overpriced stick

That stick does have Sanwa parts - it's just the SFIV TE with a different cover.

That's right.

But they are more expensive. For that amount you can get the SFIV and a custom cover.
