Bioshock braces for new patch, free DLC next week |
Ó
Here's a bit of news that should please BioShock fans on both the PC and the Microsoft Xbox 360. 2K Games has announced that they'll be making a new patch and downloadable content available for both platforms next week to add some fun while fixing old bugs. The new DLC is said to carry some new Plasmids as well as a way to disable Vita-Chambers if the game is becoming too easy for you. This should make for a more hardcore experience than ever.
The patch will solve some bugs yet to be specified by 2K Games. The only thing clear right now is that it should address the widescreen display bug that has caused an outcry across the internet after the PC version launched.
No specific date has been mentioned, so we'll just have to keep an eye out for this one next week. Keep it with us to find out how Bioshock fares with these technical gifts.

Finally, after almost 4 Months the Patch is coming!! Let me help you what Bugs are they talking about: There this bis bug called: CANT PLAY THE GAME. Thats Right, tons of Gamers cant really play Bioshock because it crashes all the Time.. you can check the Oficial 2k Support Forums. The List where the Game crashes is really long.. while Screen Loading, in this level, in that level, after a couple of days, while loading save file, etc etc.. Then, a lot of people cant even start the Game. Other ton of People have small sound issues and other have heavy sound issues. And my Favourite Genious Bug: Missing Blood Decals, this is the Genious one because almost no one do realise they have this bug... is the Blood missing in a lot of Situations.. most easy to see.. WALLS.. you dont have blood on your walls??? You got powned by 2K.. even the Germany Censored Version does have Blood on the walls, so long, german Players.. no, the missing blood isnt a censored thing, its a BUG. So, As I said, tons of people cant play because heavy Bugs.. just check out the forums... and we are waiting since August to get this Problems patched.. so you can imagine how frustrated we are.. People have played 5 times thru, talks about Bisoshock 2, additional Content...blablabla and WE cant even Play it in its original Form!! Patch Support has been AWFUL.. Only since one Month they are telling us the Patch will be soon out there. All the Time before almost no information. And they arent telling either what the Patch will be fixing.. I guess when its oficcially out the will just say "minor bugs fixed".. so Many gamers are so pissed off......
I agree with you, Zocks. The widescreen bug and crash bugs shouldn't have happened in the first place if 2K hadf finished the game before release. Even so, bugs happen, but they should have been fixed within a week or two of release. Not "when the Devs feel like it". I don't have a choice of paying for the game... "when I feel like it.", do I? I don't know why it is so hard to get game devs to do their jobs...
yay new plasmids. that will add 5 minutes of playtime. and then what. im glad i sold this game. it was great but has no replay value after youve beaten it twice.
The widescreen and crash bugs should have been patch immediately. Better yet, they shouldn't have been there to begin with, at least the widescreen bug anyway, how could they not notice that as soon as starting up the game for testing?
