In a discussion thread over at the VG Chartz website, user ckmlb just posted that the recent Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) issue rated BioShock (PC, Xbox 360) with a perfect score of 10/10. Well, that isn't altogether that surprising since PC Gamer crowned the same game with a 95% score.Now with OXM's 10/10 gracing 2K Games' FPS-RPG title, the UK magazine backs up their rating with the following reasons:
- Inconceivably great plot
- Tough, scary combat
- Perfect location design
- Stunning soundtrack and audio effects
- Endless variety of weaponry

i knew it was gonna get a good score, xbox 360 is where the games are at. especially this holiday, while the ps3 is still has nothing accept for a xbox rehash sigma.

OXM Rates on an 11 point scale. It says it in big letters in there ratings section. Also Fight Night Round 3 got a 10/11 as well.
lol funny you mention that. I own only two games for ps3 (though have rented many from an online rental site), and one of them is Ninja Gaiden (great game for Xbox1). The other is motorstorm and its garbage.

Why do people care so much about Online??? Games were made to have a SP experience. Now everyone only wants MP. Am i the only one that enjoys a good SP story over any MP????

Yeah, EGM gave Lair an average score of 5.5. That is pretty crappy for their BIG EXCLUSIVE.

I play games for sp sometimes, like Darkness. But i have to admit, mp really stretches out a games enjoyability and lifespan. Do you think people would still be playing halo if it was just single player?
1) you dont own a 360, because otherwise you would know that the failure rate thing is just something dumb sony fanboys say when they dont have a good arguement.
2) Have fun playing Lair with its average rating. Ill be on 360 playing a 9.5 out of 10 rated game.

The '11' is for Legendary games...they have NEVER rated a game a 11....and rarely have given a game a 10.

ps3 doesnt have no games i have resistance which is amazing and motorstorm isnt that bad theyre adding lots on to it.
These days if a game is only good for SP and one time through, i'll rent it.....otherwise it has to have replayability on the SP side....or good MP in order for me to buy it and expect my moneys worth
Few more months and i'm going on two years of 6+ hours a day of gaming or watching movies and streaming music on my 360 with no problems whatsoever.....so ya, blow it up your ass Awww....

When your playing your basic FPS that has a 10/11 rating because of it's deep story...(rofl fps with a good story lmao) and you get bored go ahead and pop in another FPS with a 9.5/11 rating
I'll wait for MGS4 and play an ORIGINAL game that is not just another Halflife clone. Or Lair, 2 games that i know im not going to play a clone of a month later.
Every console has it's strengths and weaknesses. But remember, the PS3 hardware isn't exactly leaps and bounds over the 360 and it's also very difficult to develop for. Microsoft on the other hand has been giving deveopers tools and support to make the development process on the 360 easier, therefore saving the developers money, in my opinion even though Microsoft is a cash cow, I think a reason why the 360 gets so many games is ease of development. Hardware doesn't sell systems all the time, if you remember last generation Sony had the worst hardware specs, and still outsold everyone. But keep in mind Son'y dominance was mainly due to the inclusion of a DVD player, which upon the PS2's release made it a cheap DVD player, I know many people who owned a PS2 mainly as a DVD player at the time and maybe had one game. Blu-Ray isn't exactly a system seller, DVD I believe will remain king for some time. I don't think the consumer is quite ready yet to have to buy a new TV, new Blu-Ray player or PS3 and on top of that replacing your DVD movies with expensive Blu-Ray movies. I think we have a while yet before any HD format really makes a splash. As for the consoles I believe the Wii will be on top, and for a while, depending on whether the console's popularity is a fad or not. The 360 will be in second but not towering over the PS3.
imitation is the highest form of flattery. That's why you won't be seeing a Lair clone anytime soon - no one is terribly impressed with it.

Never played an MGS game but I've lived this long without it. I'm sure I can try it out on the 360 once Konami finds they didn't make their development costs back on the PS3 version.

sadly game developers are getting lazy and would rather put out 5 poor games and make 1 million from it then take the same time to make 1 good game and make 1 million from it. They need to stop following suit on the last succesful game and do something original

Where did you get this 9/10 review? checked gamespot and no review exists. Which means your full of *****. You poor PS3 fanboys. It was always "wait 'yill Lair comes out !". It's here...and it sucks. It got a 5.5/10 in EGM and a 3.75/5 from gamespy. The only games PS3 has going for it is MGS4, which is rumored to go to other consoles, and this *****ty FF series. Sony has to get itself together and not pull another PSP on me.

This game looks unbelievable! Everything about it looks AMAZING. God, I can't wait. By the end of this year, there are going to be so many good games out for the 360 that I'm not going to have any time for anything else. Bioshock, ace combat 6, assassins creed, kane and lynch, halo 3, MASS EFFECT! w00t!
As for the ps3 humpers who are for some reason on a Bioshock board, I feel your pain. I'd be angsty and bitter too if I'd dropped 600 bucks on a paperweight that plays movies.
Bioshock can be beaten in a day. Nothing special...
