Audioslave Announced as August's Artist of the Month |

Today Microsoft announced that their Xbox Live Artist of the Month for August is rock band Audioslave. During the course of this month, there are going to be numerous giveaways for Xbox Live members, including a free version of the group’s latest video for “Original Fire,” a chance to play and chat with Audioslave over Xbox Live in Madden NFL 07 when it ships later this month, plus the chance to win an Xbox 360 and a copy of Audioslave’s latest CD, Revelations. As an added bonus, fans can download exclusive behind-the-scenes video footage of the band at work and play.
Audioslave began recording its third album, including hit single “Original Fire” almost as soon as it came off the road last winter after touring behind 2005’s Out of Exile. Love, life and loss are all themes on the new album. Audioslave’s song “Revelations” will also be featured on the Madden NFL 07 video game soundtrack.
To count down the days to MaddenÂ’s release, Xbox Live Marketplace will offer new Madden bonus materials every day starting the 1st of August until the game launches on the 22nd of the same month, including game trailers, NFL gamer pics and themes, as well as behind-the-scenes development interviews and downloadable stadiums. The marketplace download is broken for me.
