Bill in his youth

Thanks to QJ Blogger Gino D., we have most of the numbers given during Bill Gate's keynote address. Thanks to Major Nelson, you can now download an MP3 of Bill's speech - just in case you're curious as to what the man actually said, or if in case you're a nut that's obsessed with details.

We do have to note that due to some rights issues, some parts of the program have been replaced with place holder audio.

Major selling points of the speech (if you're an Xbox 360 fan) include these figures:
  • 10.4 million: number of Xbox 360 consoles sold worldwide so far
  • 8: number of weeks it took Microsoft to sell 2.7 million copies of Gears of War
  • 160: Games currently on Xbox 360; expected to double this year
  • 3 billion: hours of gaming on Xbox Live thus far
  • 5 million: Xbox Live members
Yeah, Bill is a proud guy.
