Looking for updates on Alan Wake (Xbox 360, PC)? Cos they sure were serious when they said they won't be giving out constant updates. We've got one for you right now, straight from the game's message boards. Poster Markus - presumed to be Markus Mäki, Development Director for Remedy Entertainment - gave a shout out to all the fans wondering what's up with the game, and how long before it gets out.

Lonely and deserted -- like Alan Wake PC?

Replying to the question "Can we get a straight answer about the PC version?", he said:

I'm a PC gamer at heart (have a Core i7, Radeon 4890, 5.1 audio setup at home) so I do appreciate your concerns.

Unfortunately all I can say at this point is that we're focusing all our efforts on the 360 version and will be making comments in regards to the PC at a later in time.

Considering that the game's been announced way back in 2005, it doesn't sit well to know that they're still busy at work on the Xbox 360 version, and from the looks of it, they're putting the PC version in the backshelves for now until they get the console version done.

lol that's in no way a monster PC

I have an i7, only an 8800GT, and a 7.1 setup.

» This is a load of horse *****.

Im *****ing sick and tired of this *****. Its happening everywhere now, every PC release is being delayed months after their *****ty console ports are released. Some are even LONG STANDING PC IP'S (Battlefield 1943 anyone) that now get releases on the 360 and PS3 months before the PC version.

@daniellakadann y: '"Why" dont "people" get consoles for then they dont have to get "fancy ass" stuff for there pc's'. How about the RROD and that its *****ing Sony the company who takes away features and charges you the same amount of money for an inferior machine (or adds features that were claimed stupid during development, just to try and hold its own against the Wii, a feat which wont happen ever). The PC is the FAR superior and only TRUE gaming format. Who is always and WILL always have the greater edge, the PC gamer. Its time we got some due *****ing respect instead of being thrown a bunch of Duke Nukem Fornevers.

» because.

mod's and True 1080p on all your games is much better than having only 720p and having it upscaled.

» well you are half right.

I personally am a PC gamer at heart yet i still own a wii and PS3. Also in a recent interview every ps3 has Backwards Compat. it's just "turned off" so they can work the kinks out.

Also rumble was not included in the beggining due to a company suing sony. Microsoft paid their way through the problem. sony wanted to fight it. thus their first line of controllers did not include rumble.

Not trying to make you feel wrong but you were right about the RROD. Also i am angry about how little amount of PC games are coming out anymore.

also sixaxis was included in the ps3 controller for a long time. Thus why the controller looked like a boomerang. it was in an interview.
