Age Restriction feature on XBL social networks lifted |

Twitter, Facebook and Last.FM addicts on the XBL have one more reason to celebrate as Microsoft has now lifted the Age Restriction feature. Well, except for those in the US.
Major Nelson explains that the parental permssion feature has been removed from the said popular social networking sites, thus now allowing child account holders to enjoy tweeting and facebooking or whatever else you do on these sites. So what's the catch with US child accounts not being in on the fun?
Don't worry, that's just for now. The US will receive this underage-friendly update come December 15, 2009. A little not to remember: "Be sure to automatically log in or Remember Me when setting up the application for the first time, otherwise you will be prompted for parental permission every time you launch the application."
