Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures story board comics available - Image 1

By Crom! Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures have announced that they will be releasing comic-styled story boards for the quests that will be in the game. This is a great opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the instances that they will be including in the game and how the developers envisioned it to play out.

The first release is for the quest Foundations of Trust, which is a simple fetch and return quest in the game. The comic that they released uses screens and images from yet unpolished assets and has a few jokes that the developers added in. Age of Conan designer Joel Bylos spoke on the storyboard comic and its importance to the development of the game and in keeping with a long standing Conan tradition.

The comic storyboard is a visual representation of what we have imagined the quest to be. Essentially the comic is a tool that follows the Conan tradition, and allows people to see what a quest is about, which characters it involves, and how it ties into the overall storyline without having to load up the client and play through the entire thing themselves.

So download the PDF and check out the comic. If you're a fan of the game or Conan in general, it is a pretty interesting read. Be sure to keep checking back here for more updates on Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.
