Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures official community breaks 500,000 mark |
Ó
Funcom and publisher Eidos Interactive are sending out word that Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (Xbox 360 and MMO) has reached another milestone as more than 500,000 gamers have joined the title's community. The number is a combination of those who joined the ongoing beta testing as well as those who signed up in the official fan club, Clan of Conan. Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas had this to say:
The game seems to be already striking a chord with gamers across the world and we are thrilled and motivated by all the positive feedback we have been getting from both the press and the community.
Given the influx of players, Funcom has decided to open forums for non-English speaking gamers. The new forums accommodate German, French and Spanish markets. Funcom said that these people are really vital to the development of Age of Conan.
Aside from their sheer number, the developer mentioned that these players are able to provide them with constant reports that allow them to thoroughly test numerous aspects of the game. Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures will go live on May 20.
