Necromancer - Image 1We still have quite a few months of waiting to do before we actually get our hands on Funcom's Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. And even though we've featured tons of videos, interviews, and screens for both the Xbox360 and PC versions, we doubt those are enough to keep you sane whilst waiting...right?

And it is precisely in that light that we bring you yet another preview of the classes you'll be encountering in the game, this time placing focus on the dark and powerful Necromancers. To a certain extent, the Necromancers actually resemble the Lich class...what with their twisted fascination for death and control over the dead. Here are some of the traits/powers that the Necromancers possess:
  • they are masters of dark and unholy magic, and have the ability to animate the dead and corrupt the living
  • If you're planning on crossing over to the dark side, you might wanna team up with them because the Necromancer can also use their dark arts to boost their allies. They can cast spells like Bone Ward to increase their, as well as their allies', defenses.
  • Necromancer can summon corpses from their grave to do their bidding
  • They can also summon foot soldiers called Undead Minions, which will have no qualms about tearing their enemies to bits and pieces
All in all, the Necromancer's mastery over death itself is more than enough to generate fear among citizens and fellow practitioners of magic. So if you wanna hold on to dear life for a bit longer, be wary of Necromancers as you wouldn't wanna come across them in a battlefield. Really.
