Activision: Huh? What Quake III Team Arena? |
Listed in: Xbox 360, PC Gaming Tags: Activision, ESRB, Pi Studios LLC
Ó
We can say, through experience, that listings that pop up on the Entertainment Software Ratings Board's (ESRB) online site are pretty much accurate. Yesterday, we uncovered a ratings search hit of Quake III Team Arena for Xbox 360, which is quite weird to say the least. As you all know, the platform already has Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars and Quake 4.So we're guessing here, it is highly possible that Quake III Team Arena is exactly what the listing is - the same PC video game title that was released back in 1999. Only this time, it is going to be repackaged as an Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) title. Sounds plausible, right? Yeah, and gaming site Eurogamer thinks so as well.
The gaming site tried contacting Activision, or even Pi Studios LLC for that matter, about this development but the two just shrugged their shoulders and mentioned that they do no comment on rumors and speculations.
If this turns out to be true, we guess we should give you a brief backgrounder about Quake III. Team Arena is quite interesting because it was the first time the series veered away from the usual story-based single player campaign. The video game focused solely on multiplayer aspects.

BUT this game only works good with mouse and keyboard.
This game is really fast, the gamepad will kill this game. things like shooting people underneath you while jumping or so call "twich" aming, is extremely hard with a game pad.
This is why I am playing quakewars and unreal3 on my pc and not on a consol.
