Awesome visuals, intense combat sequences, gripping storyline - it sounds like a list of accolades for a next-gen roleplaying game, but in fact it's just three of the main points why someone with a pulse and a hankering for action should look into Namco Bandai's Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation for the Xbox 360.

Yes, you read that right - the Ace Combat series have always been, besides delivering the best fighter sim experience around, one of the most intense storylines to grace a game in its genre. And from the looks of this trailer, this one is no exception.

While we see near photo-realistic graphics, fluid animations and startingly-real missile trails, it's the interaction between pilots that bring us back to the intense dogfights of the game's predecessors. The games made us care who were were fighting for, and who we were shooting down. That, and feeling entirely bad-ass as an enemy squadron fearfully refers to you as "the Demon Lord of the Round Table".
