Soon to be Blizzard Activision - Image 1With the imminent merger of Vivendi and Activision, some people have expressed concern about how the Activision-Blizzard merger may affect Blizzard's longtime customers. Despite having released an Activision-Blizzard merger FAQ, Blizzard has taken the time to answer more questions related to the upcoming merger, this time courtesy of Blizzard president Mike Morhaime.

According to Mr. Morhaime, it started when Activision CEO Bobby Kotick met Vivendi Games CEO Bruce Hack for lunch. The meeting resulted in such a synergistic spirit that the Kotick, Hack and Morhaime decided to explore the option of a company merger.

With Blizzard's morale at an all-time high, Mr. Morhaime believes that the merger with Activision will lead to good results for both companies. In Blizzard's case, that translates into stronger sales, distribution and operations in North America and Europe, as well as a more established presence in Asia.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, though. For the rest of the nitty-gritty details on the Activision-Blizzard merger, just follow the source link back to the full interview.
