Ju-On: The Grudge - Image 1

Here's a little something for all those missing out on a certain Japanese Wii horror game. XSEED has announced that it will be releasing AQ Interactive's Ju-on game in the US this October.

Ju-on: The Grudge is described as a "haunted house simulator". Kinda distressingly, the press release states that "accessibility and instant scares are given priority over all other game aspects". Now, that doesn't sound too good from a gameplay perspective, but it should be good enough for some easy scares.

Here's the rest of the game description:

Using the Wii Remote as a flashlight, Ju-on: The Grudge has players move forward with the touch of a button and explore haunted areas such as an abandoned warehouse, a dimly-lit hospital, and a mannequin factory. Much like in a haunted house, the player must proceed forward even after being frightened and running away from the initial threat. As much fun as it is to get scared, sometimes itÂ’s even more fun to watch others play to observe their reactions. For instant gratification, grab a second Wii Remote and push buttons to make in-game events happen immediately to make the player jump and hate you forever.

i see that it may not be such a special feature for all, but in the right party (hands?)

that "2P-Instant scare" could be extremely intertaining

i can even imagine what fun i would have doing that

just hope i can become friends with them again afterwards XD
