Wikipedia closes Wii, PS3, Sony entries: Vandalism a major problem |

Web encyclopedia, Wikipedia, has locked down its pages for the Nintendo's Wii and the Sony's PS3. Blame this one on rabid fan-boys. Note that rabid fan-boys are those slightly more immature versions of fan-boys who are a bit more polite and actually work for the money they're going to use to buy their consoles.
Gamespot reports that a series of rather impartial edits over the last few weeks has led to the temporary lockdown. The lockdown is there so that Wiki will be able to "protect" the credibility and integrity of the entries. Wikipedia hopes that virtual vandals will lose interest and find some other place to troll when the pages are re-opened to user edits.
If you want a sample of just how bad the situation is, these two award-winning edits, "Nintendo Sucks!!!!!!!" and "Microsoft is Zomg T3h Suck0r!!!!!", were found in each company's page entries.
The real world is indeed stranger than fiction.

Is this a new $ony advertising campaign? $ony fanboys are perhaps the most immature (and pathetic.) $ony's going to need all the help they can to win these console wars. As a dvd/blu-ray/hd-dvd/etc. player... perhaps, but as for gaming, you just have to see the first reviews of the new Zelda...

These are the revision numbers off the gamespot article, "Nintendo Wii at number 10 (12,780 revisions), the PS3 at number 21 (9,894 revisions), and the Xbox 360 at 25 (9,481 revisions.)" this means more people were attack the PS3 meaning that it's fanboys off all kinds. No one set of fanboys is better than the other by far.
You just took something that was about fanboys from all parties and focused it only on Sony, so if you want to talk immature and pathetic that's it right there.
And Microsoft's track record vr. Sony's... and you think Sony is worse well if you want to I can catch you up on the past decade or so. You want to talk business ethics M$ sold theirs to Satan way back when.

Zelda might be a top seller soon....but thats it. Wii got exclusives from Disney. WOW. So when you buy a Wii...you get to play.... Zelda, Mickey Mouse, Pokemon, and Mario. I thought Nintendo was back when the Gamecube came out. Wasnt there like 3 Zeldas for that?
I guess im a real fan-boy because i have to work to get my things unlike all you little/rich kids take my xbox 360 for example i worked for 100 hours and was paid minimum wage which was around 5.25 i worked for that money and it finally paid off. If you get your things from your parents you dont really feel a sense of accomplishment but if you work for it your like WOW.

Well, for all those people out there who want a blu ray player, the standalone players go for $999, and getting one for only $599 is a freakin steal. Im sure that after all this launch drama is over, there will be people out there who will buy the PS3 just because it plays Blu Rays and its cheaper than the standalone.

Wow, people complain about originality but want to play the same three games for 20 years, along with mario and metroid.
Besides, guy, look at the reviews for the last zelda they were great but the game sucked balls and blew *****, sorry.
By the way who did Nintendo promise that they would never come up with anynew IP's. Their games are either some kids cartoon, or the same game they've made for decades with updated graphics.
And WII sports looks like a tech demo to me, but I guess that's why it's free.
