WiiWare microtransactions priced, 500 Wii Points each |
Ó
For those of us looking forward to some WiiWare games, here's some special news: the price of microtransactions have just been revealed via this week's issue of Famitsu. And surprise surprise - it's pretty affordable, in terms of Wii Point standards. The final price? 500 Wii Points for every microtransaction, half the 1000 Wii Point price of a full game.
This comes directly from developing firm Genki, who will be releasing an add-on pack for its Japanese WiiWare launch puzzler LONPOS. We don't quite know just when this downloadable content will be released, or just what it will contain, but it's definite that the price will be in fact 500 Wii Points - certainly not hefty, considering the normal selling price of a 2000 Wii Points card.
Looking at this update, it's definitely awesome that companies are now going to release downloadable content for their WiiWare titles. Here's hoping that Nintendo also picks up the pace in terms of extra content. Updates as we get them!

is $5. That's hardly "micro.'
You know what the problem is? here in Europe, 500 Wii points are 5 Euro!
5 Euro is equal to 7,83 Dollar!
So we pay 2,83 Dollar more for the same games. That doesn't sound much, but if buy many games,
that's pretty hefty. For example for 10 games, we pay nearly 30 bucks more!
americans think they have it so hard, omg xbox games are $60 omg $5 for that noooo way, in the UK we pay close to $10 for that game, xbox360 games are more like $98 wii games are like $60 we even pay close to $600 for a 40gb ps3, ou have everything to *****ing cheap
Wow I was right on about Wiiware games being $10. Downloadable content $5? Wow Nintendo really gives gamers the shaft. High prices for old console re-releases, few quality games, $100 more for the console than manufacturing costs, now crappy downloadable games like Tetris and Bubble Wrap Pop for $10 with another $5 for downloadable content.
These are good deals a cell phone game which are almost always dumb and were made by one person cost alomst always 7 dollars.....you can "Rent it" for 3 dollars. Actually well developed games(look at that Chrystal Chronicles thing for instance) that they actually spent more than a day on in full 3D for three more dollars.........yeah thats a horrible deal.........WTF!?
