Wiimote/Nunchuck to use USB?

A Go Nintendo reader has sent in a few screenshots from a Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz video which shows something a little unusual on with the Nunchuck controllerÂ’s attachment shows what looks like a USB attachment on the Nunchuck controller cord. If you enlarge the thumbnails, you can see that there is clearly some form of USB involved.

This USB cable could be the solution to the secret of charging the Wiimote. As we all know, USB can charge things as well by harnessing electrical power from the source as well as carrying data. If this is how the Wiimote recharges this would be very good news for Wii fans. Besides, recharging the Wiimote via USB seems a much better solution to the energy problem rather than having to buy batteries all the time.

If this were true, you could possibly use it as a controller for the computer. That would make emulation of the Wii on the computer possible. I don't see Nintendo doing that. And I swear If I hear one person say "OMGz FIRST COMMENT!!!!11won" I'll kill them.

Look at the port under the Wiimote, it looks a bit similar to USB, but it ain't.

The 360 controller uses rechargable li-ion or ni-mh the wii controller will use alkaline which has a much shorter lifespan and can't be recharged

Oh Dear you're all dumb! If it was to charge the control up, wouldn't it be connected to the main contoller and not the nunchuck.

By the way it plugs into the Wiimote at the bottom
