Well, I don't get to see that many mods for the Wii so this comes as a refreshing change. This one is a Wiimote mod that fiddles with the A and B buttons, giving them a rapid fire feature. No more sore thumbs!

Ok, it feels like a cheat (oh heck, it is a cheat), but sometimes you just wanna shoot 'em zombies in House of the Dead without breaking a sweat, yeah?

This mod comes from AcidMods, who is selling the Rapid Fire Wiimote chip (note: just the chip, not the Wiimote :p) for US$ 9.99. You can order one after the source link below. Of course, they also provide a tutorial on how to install it.

For now, here are some vids of the rapid fire mod in action to give you an idea of the carnage you can inflict with just a press of the button:

A tip of the hat to Mark for the tip!

That is simply awesome!

From what I can tell, you have to install it for EITHER the A or B? Too bad you can't install once and switch between the two.

You could if you were the electronics expert you claim to be. Maybe with those "magnetic heating coils?"

Perhaps a microswitch? Do you know what that is?

You are such a jackass. So I'm suppose to be a PIC expert as well? I know nothing about programming chips. So that means I know nothing of electronics, right? Shove it up your ass.

From what I can tell, two of these 555 sized chips will fit in the Wiimote so we'll be able to have BOTH A and B use auto. As usual, Mr. Common Douche Bag's input (of a microswitch) is worthless.

It should also be noted that for $9.99 you aren't just NOT getting the Wiimote, you also aren't getting the switch, LED or wire.

For $14.99 you get EVERYTHING....still no Wiimote :)
