Wii60 Devotees Cheer Again!

It seems the Wii60 train has not slowed down since its launch at E3! This time, it's not Peter Moore or Perrin Kaplan, it's Andre Vrignaud. Vrignaud is the former director of Xbox Live and a current member of the Xbox Platform Strategy Group. What does he have to say?

"[The announcement of the 6 EA Wii titles] also shows a strong level of industry support for the direction Nintendo has taken with lower-cost hardware and their unique control scheme," he says. "I'm actually a big fan of the Wii (although I'll add my voice to the chorus and state they should have stuck with Revolution for a name). My time with it at E3 showed a lot of potential for new game ideas and new ways to play.

That said, kudos to EA for stepping up and supporting one of the more original attempts to invigorate the game industry in recent history!"

It's great to see people speaking so openly without fear of being fired by their employers! Microsoft is really starting to be a PR wonder, especially when compared to the mess that Sony's PR is in right now!

And yet, it's 400 dollars wasted on a ***** console. With Ps3, you pay more, but atleast you get two consoles actually worth it.

Well, it's good to see some more titles for the WII, but I don't think that giving a console PORTED games deserves a 'kudos'. I want EXCLUSIVE titles, d@mnit!

360 is a waste of time. Its sales have been slowing down considerably as people are noticing that it's garbage. Now that’s real and truly bad PR.

Annony, the interesting thing is that they won't simply be ports. They'll all have their own seperate teams to fully take advantage of the Wii. For example, Madden Wii is being done at EA Canada unlike the PS3 and 360 version which are being made at the same studio down in the States.

AvgGamer, PR means Public Relations. Having people representing a company be human is a refreshing take on PR. Being able to relate to the guy is much better than listening to people like Kutaragi who's many quotes have made people disgusted with Sony's ways of doing things. I find it a bit ironic you're calling me a "Ninty fanboy" when you make it obvious you're a Sony fanboy with your subject title. I have a PS2, GCN, and DS. I don't care what company makes my system. I care what games are on my system.

Also, if I taught myself to think critically, why would I go to school and get my money back? I don't blame other people for my mistakes.

I don't understand how this is good PR...basically Wii is going to sell 100x more consoles in Japan, then everyone who has a 360 will get a Wii and then everyone who wants a cheap console will get a Wii and then bamf! Microsoft just handed their market share to its competitor? you wanna talk about Microsoft or Sony being evil, Nintendo is playing them like a thai hooker on ice.
