Wii Virtual Console: Phantasy Star III and River City Ransom now available |
Ó
Nintendo has announced that two more titles have arrived for this week's Virtual Console update. While gamers will definitely remember Phantasy Star 3: Generations of Doom for the Sega Genesis, those who've owned a NES will also recognize River City Ransom. The latter game, released back in 1989, was actually the first game ever published by American Technos. River City Ransom puts players in the controls of Alex and Ryan, two heroes on a journey to save Ryan's girlfriend, Cyndi, from the clutches of a thug named Slick.
Expect plenty of old-fashioned beat-em-up action, with support for up to two players. River City Ransom will cost 500 Wii Points.
Phantasy Star 3 should certainly strike a chord for the fans of classic RPG games. Multiple endings dotted with surprising plots twists abound in this Sega Genesis classic, as you take on the role of Rhys, the crown prince of the Orakian kingdom of Landen. You can pick up this old epic for 800 Wii Points. That's the lowdown on this week's Virtual Console pickings. Drop by again in case we receive more info on any more titles.
