Nintendo will be giving gamers based in Europe a treat this week. It was recently revealed that the Europe Virtual Console will be getting Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Players can download this game for 1000 Wii Points. For those who can't recall this classic platformer, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards originally came out in Japan on March 24, 2000 for the Nintendo 64.
The story of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards will probably delight fans of the series who haven't had the chance to play the game. Essentially, Kirby is enlisted to help a new friend find the pieces of a shattered crystal. This quest takes him on an adventure across six worlds culminating in a showdown with enemy Dark Matter.
Fans may recall that this is the first Kirby game done in 3D. In addition, this was also the first game in the Kirby series that allowed the pink puff ball to merge two separate copy abilities and use both at the same time.
