The problem is that 101 is not an unusual number. It could be just a coincidence. And of course Aaron is right, games come out on Tuesdays, not Sundays. But then again, it may be Nintendo sending us a clue. I guess will find out.

There also appears to be a calendar in the actual gameplay on the wall. And the date says, yep, you guessed it, 1!

I've just been on a spree for finding Wii Rumors (heck, even creating them myself), and went to Nintendo's Wii site, scouried it like hell - saw the image and such and it hit me. I also checked the hex to make sure there were no hidden messeges in there either (there were none that I could find). in relation to aarons comments about games only releaseing on tuesday is not true in fact nintendo is releasing almost all of its Q4 games on a monday. so there is a possibility it may realease on a sunday.

You're trying WAY too hard. First off, US 101 is a California highway (hense the shield-shape), I drive on it everyday. I have no idea why that girl would be wearing that shirt but anyway. I've seen shirts like that for other highways. I thought the 1st part of your little 'discovery' was stupid but the 2nd borders on retarded. Drop the conspiracy theories. Nintendo will announce the price and release date this September. It will obviously ship between mid to late September at the earliest and early to mid December at the latest. If I had to guess I would say it'd sell for $200 and be in stores around the middle or end of November probably on a Tuesday. Not much longer regardless.

As far as the October 1st release being a Sunday - I too do not believe that it will be released at that point in time either I'm just reporting the possibility of it happening, and heck - I saw other sites with this same rumor, so I'm not the only one who made it up



As far as the Wii = V V i i rumor and one of the comments - Yes, everyone knows X = 10, but two 5's (V) added together equal 10 ;) There are several arguements we can use with it, but I'm still sticking with the October 2nd as the best rumored released date.



As far as Final Fantasy being capitalized in the press released - I'm aware that they do that in Japan (all the Final Fantasy game's boxes have it like so in Japan, and US as well) - but for Nintendo to use the JP way of spelling it in a US press release left me at an odd position so I thought it would be significant. It is actually used back and forth in the US, so using the capital version over the standard lowercase as found in press released struck me.



However - Personally I am still just taking this with a grain of salt, it's up to you personally to decide what you think, we aren't telling you that this is true or that you must believe it.

I do expect that the Wii will be out before the PS3 and the 101 could be a big hint, but the whole Wii=V V ii=10/2/06 is ludicrous and pompous. First of all, I don't think Nintendo would name their system for the sole reason of it being a coded message. Second, if it were a coded message saying when the release date is, why in the heck would Nintendo name the system just for the US release. Worldwide I can see, but just for the US is really unrealistic. I know rabid fanboys can't wait to sink their teeth in to the new slimline Game Cube and Nintendo is toying with all of us by not giving a release date and keeping the masses in the unknown.

To say that they would release after ps3 is just stupid and around black friday the day after thanksgiving is more stupid. dude everyone has theories and these ones are pretty good. The fact that a game is being released every monday except oct. 2nd, nov. 20th, 27th is more hinting to it coming out earlier than later. Nov. 20th is after the ps3 so thats a no go. Nov. 27th is black friday so that's a no go. Which leaves us with oct. 2nd. Now of course it doesn't have to be on the 2nd just earlier than the ps3. Just think is it easier to buy a ps3($600) then the WII($250 est.), or easier to buy the WII($250 est.) then the ps3($600). For me it would be the latter. And I think for the parents who buyinhg the games for there kids , iwould think the latter also.
