Wii to be without Wii Sports soon?

Wii SportsIt is no secret that the most anticipated titles for the Nintendo Wii are The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Red Steel. On the other hand, Wii Sports many not be as big as the first two but they can certainly be as fun. After all, the compilation was bundled with the console to help introduce to the people the wonders of the Wiimote.

However, we wonder if fans would be willing to shell out US$ 49.99 for the game. Why? Because it seems that Nintendo wouldn't be including Wii Sports in the official console package soon. Over at online retailer EB Games, we saw a preorder offering the game for the said price. The pre-release note says it would become available on January 1, 2007.

Over the past few days, we've been hearing news that initial stocks of the console would soon be replenished. There are no words, however, if they still come with the bundle or not.

I think what you're seeing is something called Wii Sports Pack...........this isn't the Wii Sports game that comes bundled with the Wii.......this is a pack of Wii sports accessories, essentially a little plastic racket that you clip the Wii-mote into, a golf club, baseball bat, steering wheel etc..........

I see that you posted it as a rumor but you have not HEARD anything at all. I too have seen that game listed on ebgames.com and thought nothing of it. So.... I sell my Wii to gamestop. Does that mean that are REQUIRED to sell Wii sports to the next buyer? No. So people may want to buy Wii Sports separately. So I get pissed and frisbee Wii Sports across the room (apparently it now includes discuss as the sixth sport). Well when it shatters how do I get a new one? There are many possibilities as to why someone would want another copy of a game that is bundled with the hardware. Think nothing of this article only Japan will recieve the Wii Sportsless package, and they will pay less for said package.

nevermind the fact that the package art clearly says PAL, meaning the europe release....they are getting Wii Play as a release pack-in, not Wii Sports, so it makes perfect sense for nintendo to be selling Wii Sports seperately in europe.
