Wii Shop Channel Japan gets new 'bonus redeem software' feature |

As if the new Digicam Print Channel that Wii gamers in Japan recently got wasn't enough, they now have a new "features" area in the Wii Shop Channel called "bonus redeem software."This new feature will allow Wii gamers to enter a code that will get them free software from the Wii Shop Channel. It seems that certain retail games will provide these codes.
We can only speculate at this time, but people believe the new feature may offer free Wii points, or free Virtual Console titles - maybe even WiiWare titles - with the purchase of certain games.
I'd like to see this feature introduced in other regions too. It's good promo material for the Wii (as if it needed any), and besides, I like free stuff.

If it's properly used, this is a fine Idea.
You could either give free content, free points for downloadable contents, or free titles like the first games on a serie that appeared on the NES / SNES.
Let's say they offer castlevania vc titles with the new castlevania, that would 1- promote the platform game for future release since the wii game will be a fighter. 2- Offer more than only a game. 3-promote downloadable add ons.
I'm pretty sick of hearing about all the cool bonus stuff Nintendo showers on Japan while we haven't gotten anything worthwhile since the Zelda Collection.
Why bother registering game codes if NoA isn't going to share the love by giving us swag.
Redeem Software sounds like you can take the games you've already downloaded, and redeem them for the points you used to buy them.
That would be spectacular. Although it would never happen.
Why do you need points to download in the first place is the question. The U.S. should have this as well. Nintendo is know for bamboozling us.

T_____T....Really? So if that's the case, then Microsoft points and PS3 payments are a scam too?
Also, who says we won't get it in the first place? Japan tends to get games/features quicker than anywhere else anyways, seeing as how they're based in Japan.
this wasn't annouced at E3..its probably not coming to the U.S. anytime soon.
