I touched a Wii!If you're dying to get your Wii on (OK, that statement is just seriously messed up, y'know?) but didn't quite make it in time to reserve one at Gamestop last Friday, don't worry because you're going to get another chance to do that soon.

Siliconera reports that Toys "R" Us will be accepting Wii pre-orders on October 29. And on top of that, Toys R Us is also currently running a contest with Deal or No Deal where they're giving away 25,000 Wiis. This contest is available only for U.S. residents though.

If you haven't already done so, you can enter the contest by checking out the Toys "R" Us insert in this Sunday's paper. With 25,000 Wiis at stake, the odds of winning this one ain't that bad (around 1:5,700 according to the contest rules) so join away. Who knows, you might get lucky.

IM MAD!

Hopefully this applies to Canada too, i just visit all of Eb Games in toronto, and their all sold out out pre orders on their first day...How long it took you asked? 1.5 hours or less, because i came 1.5 hour later the store opened and im peeved. I learn my lesson, if Toys r us is taking pre orders, i will skip school and pre order one!

Deal Or No Deal Contest

Contest my ASS! It's a survey to sign up for all different types of products. Even after you say No to everything they say you get one, how is that a contest? It's a fradulent chance at selling you a membership to Columbia House, Netflix, getting a Discover card, or myriad other ploys. I did one a few just like this a few years ago for a Discover card, I would have gotten an Xbox or a laptop - I forget - but it was a LIE!

Haha.

Guys i work at toys r us, and if you get someone in RZone who doesn't know video games (happened until i showed them i knew more than the random guy standing in there selling nothing as he didn't know it) the person you talk to probably doesn't even know what a Wii is.
by evolsoulx - 2006-10-17 05:21:46
Nope.

Thats not true either. I've done the contest multiple times, and had someone win a 100$ Card. What it is, if you take the "deal" you get 10% off. If you take the "no deal" you get 5% off unless you have the rare winning game piece. I don't know, but i don't think you were in that contest jason.

BAH

the person i talked too seemed to knew what Wii is

A second chance

I got mine last week, but my mom really wants one and she missed out. I hope they do pre-orders so that she gets another chance to pick one up.

Pre-ordered at Toys R Us Today

I just got my pre-order done on Friday; I called and they said they were accepting preorders already. Best part, they are guaranteeing delivery on launch date with a $50 down payment. My local store had a total of 15 preorders alloted to them as per the manager and there were only 2 left after I got mine. As such, good luck to all of you who are trying to get one on Sunday because most stores will be sold out. Before heading down to the store close to my house I had called two others as well and they were in similar situations. If possible, try going in on Saturday to see if they have any pre-orders left. Also, they will be making a deal available on Sunday (one of many from what I was told) wherein if you pre-order two games you will get a third for free. Happy Wiing friends.
