Wii - Release Date Set? |

Well, it seems that Sports Illustrated for Kids has a very juicy "rumor" on their hands. In their most recent issue of the magazine, they go on to talk about the Nintendo Wii and how the controller will revolutionize sports games (baseball in particular). After the description of the revolutionary console and controller, they have one small line that will erupt thousands (Wii fans). This single line says "Launch Date: November 6". At the current time this date shall be taken as a rumor as no official price or launch date has been announced by Nintendo. We can expect the price to be announced before The Tokyo Game Show (where Nintendo showed off the controller last year). As far as learning the launch date (officially), this is unknown when we will see one.Via GoNintendo

I doubt it's true and I would guess the writers of the mag just made it up.
I concur.. I mean, it's Sports Illustrated, not exactly Nintendo Power..
when is the TGS any way. it's fake never belive that stuff. if its true that great. not really for me cause i have this cupon for blockbuster rent 1 game get the other free. it expires october aww

TGS is Sept 22-25 I believe. The price will be announced before that time, I am 100% sure on this ;)
As far as when the launch date will be announced - I have no clue, but I can guess around the same time as the price announcement

And the first thing he saw will have been a rumor about the release date and he'd have written it down without checking.
There have been many rumors where the release date was going to be on November 6. Some gaming store websites allow you to preorder the games and next to the game it shows the date which is November 6. This will also match with the Japanese realease in October since consoles are realeased there before a worldwide realease.
According to Amazon.co.uk release date is 24th Nov but take it with a pinch of salt ;)
I hope it releases earlier than that it better if it really wants to get the upper hand on the playstation 3
